Who we’re looking for

Economics Design are seeking a motivated and experienced Web3 Associate Business Development Manager to join our dynamic remote-first team. As our full-time Web3 Associate Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by actively prospecting and engaging clients, with a focus on Asia and the Americas. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the Web3 ecosystem, possess excellent sales and communication skills, and have a network within the startup scene.

What you’ll focus on

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new business opportunities and trends.
  • Generate top quality, sales qualified leads through creative and unconventional ways
  • Focus on acquiring new, sales qualified leads and maintaining relationships with existing ones. This involves networking, attending industry events, and engaging in strategic partnerships.
  • Develop and implement effective lead generation strategies to achieve business development goals. This includes achieving targets set by the Sales team, identifying key lead acquisition channels, and actively participating in the sales process.
  • Closely collaborate with the Sales and Consulting Teams to drive sales through our target clients and markets
  • Create and maintain quality, concise sales and marketing materials, such as sales decks and case studies. This will require a solid understanding of the Company’s service offerings.
  • Analyse data to assess the effectiveness of strategies and making recommendations for improvement for business development activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Systemise and automate our lead generation workflows and processes

  • Strong Network in Asia: You have an established and active professional network across various industries in Asia. Your connections are deep and diverse, spanning multiple sectors and geographic regions within the continent.
  • Networking Skills: You are adept at networking and have a proven track record of effectively building and maintaining professional relationships. You are comfortable and skilled in both in-person and virtual networking environments.
  • Expanding Networks: You possess a strategic approach to expanding your network. You understand the importance of and have experience in identifying and engaging with key influencers, decision-makers, and potential partners.
  • Cultural Awareness: You demonstrate a strong understanding of the cultural nuances and business practices within different Asian markets. This includes an appreciation for diverse perspectives and approaches in professional settings.
  • Creativity in Networking: Your approach to networking is creative and innovative. You leverage unique methods to connect with new contacts and nurture relationships, ensuring a mutually beneficial exchange of value.
  • Active Engagement: You are actively involved in networking groups, professional associations, and industry events, particularly those with a strong presence or focus in Asia.
  • Communication Skills: You possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across different cultures and professional levels. Fluency in one or more Asian languages, in addition to English, is a significant plus.
  • Web3 Industry Experience: You have previous experience in sales, business development, or marketing roles, preferably within the Web3 industry or related sectors. This experience has equipped you with a deep understanding of blockchain technologies, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and other emerging digital assets. Your network includes key players and innovators in the Web3 space, and you are adept at leveraging these connections to drive business development and growth.

  • Creativity: Thinks creatively, strategically and isn’t afraid of experimenting
  • Remote-Work Fluency: Experience working in a remote-first environment, with a geographically dispersed and culturally diverse team. This includes a high level of personal accountability, async-first meeting culture and a focus on documentation.
